Showcase of Work
HANBOK JACKET
Here I have my completed garment with the collar and ribbon added on. It may not accurately reflect how a Hanbok should look on someone as my garment ended up being too small for me. Normally the front pieces should overlap so when making this again I most likely need to increase the width of the front pieces and maybe the back pieces as well. The sleeves fit well but maybe making them longer so that more fabric hangs would be a good edit to make as well. You can see an example of a modernized Hanbok known as a Geryang Hanbok by clicking the button below.
EMBROIDERY
As I was unable to embroider the main garment with my design I at least wanted to showcase what an embroidered Mugunghwa may look like that I created while practicing. It is not fully done but it should give a good idea of what it will look like. I will also update this soon after it is completed. You can learn more about the symbolism of the Mugunghwa by clicking the button below which will lead you to a video briefly introducing my project.
DESIGN SKETCH
In order to make a garment, you have to start out with a sketch! So here I have a fully rendered sketch of my Hanbok design.
I will be continuing to work on this project and have future renditions of this project in the future so if you would like to see more stay tuned!
